Motion Graphics

Motion graphics bridge the gap between design and storytelling, transforming static visuals into dynamic, engaging experiences. Understanding motion graphics isn’t just about making things move—it’s about crafting intentional, meaningful animations that enhance communication and user experience. Motion graphics is an area of design I want to improve upon the most, and has been a recent skill added to my list. I have worked within typography motion, frame by frame animation, and other projects all including motion!

Typography in motion.

This project uses dialogue from an extremely meaningful trip I took with my best friend recalling one of our favorite hikes in Yosemite National Park. We had recorded voice notes every day of the trip and I took one of the notes and make a special video with photos I had taken and her dialogue.

Rewind Classic Films.

Rewind is a hypothetical streaming service for classic films. I created a dynamic logo for this brand, trying to capture both a classic and elevated look while keeping the fun and whimsy of the vintage style that is within classic films.

Risograph Animation

Using frame by frame animation, I created a 6 second animation in Procreate. I then exported every frame onto a sheet to be color separated for the risograph printer. Each second was printed on the risograph printer using 4 different colors, this was then scanned and put back into photoshop to create a looping animation.
