An integral part of my experience as a designer has been shaped by my work and training in traditional fine arts. While not attending a fine arts school, I knew I needed to train my eye and hand in traditional arts. I attended a summer intensive painting course in 2022 at the acclaimed Parsons School of Design in Paris, France, learning about figure painting, color theory, techniques with water based paints, and overall artistic thinking.

I continued my traditional arts learning in Florence, Italy, for 5 months in 2023, studying traditional Renaissance techniques under Dr. Alan Pascuzzi. This included working with quill and ink, charcoal, fresco painting, egg tempura painting, red chalk, black chalk, sculpture etc. This traditional training, in conjunction with drawing, sculpture, and design fundamental classes taken in my undergrad shaped the way I design and create.
